Call for Student Performance

Student Performance Submissions will open in August, 2025.

  • Thursday, December 11, 2025 Student Performance during morning General Session
    Color Guard
    National Anthem Performance
    Group Performance (choral, band, dance troupe, orchestra, mariachi)
  • Friday, December 12, 2025 Student Performance before and during the morning General Session
    Marching band with horns, drums, majorettes, and drum major (high energy)
  • The deadline for application is Friday, October 9, 2025.
 


Important Details

Application

  • We’ll accept applications from performing groups that haven’t appeared at a CASB Convention in the past five years (not including 2020).
  • Performers must be from CASB member school districts.
  • The deadline for application is October 9, 2025.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule
Thursday, December 11
Broadmoor General Session Ballroom in The Broadmoor Event Center

  • Rehearsal starts at 7:45 a.m.
  • Performance begins at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Friday, December 12
Broadmoor General Session Ballroom in the Broadmoor Event Center

  • Rehearsal starts at 12:00 p.m.
  • Performance begins at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Performances will kick off our general sessions and we are seeking students to perform in the following genres:
  • Poetry presentation 
  • Musical presentation (choral, band, orchestra, ensemble, dance, theater or individual; no more than 35 participants)
Selection criteria include the following:
1.    Performance is high quality.
2.    An individual student's work is recommended by one or more faculty members.
 
For those interested in performing: 
1.    Complete the student performance proposal form, see button below. 
2.    Prepare and submit a link to an audition video, which includes two pieces.
3.    Indicate the student's or group's name, grade, district, and school.
4.    Applicants must be from CASB member districts that are registered for the convention. 

Additional Information

The audience is comprised of over 1,100 school leaders from across Colorado—primarily school board members and superintendents.

The Ballroom will be set with a large stage (48 x 24 x 4), one very large screen, and auditorium seating. Broadmoor Hall will provide a high-quality sound system that includes a limited number of microphones.

The center does not provide pianos, drums, or music stands. Please plan to bring your own equipment if needed.
